Green Koncepts Unveils First Cloud Energy Management Packaged Solution For Smes With Up To 70% Ida Isprint Funding Making it affordable for SMEs to achieve up to 30% energy savings as part of the Government’s S$17 million SME Energy Efficiency Initiative Singapore, 9 September 2013 – Green Koncepts, an innovative cloud energy management solutions company, today announced that it will be launching Singapore’s first Cloud Energy Management SME Kit - at BEX Asia 2013, Booth A16, Marina Bay Sands from 11-13 September 2013. Koncepts Energy Management™ is one of the software listed under IDA’s iSPRINT Packaged Solutions. SMEs can claim up to 70% of the qualifying costs, capped at $20,000 for the purchase of the first packaged solution listed under each solution category . This funding allows SMEs to adopt energy management solutions that will help them achieve at least 10% energy savings as part of the government’s recently announced $17 million SME Energy Efficiency Initiative. This initiative is led by the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), with support from SPRING Singapore, National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Infocomm Authority of Singapore (IDA). Using Koncepts Energy Management, SMEs can monitor their energy usage in real time from any web browser, access powerful in-depth energy analytics to identify areas of energy wastage and validate the impact of energy efficiency initiatives in real time . For the first time, SME’s will have access to a sophisticated energy management platform, providing SMEs with powerful tools to drive energy efficiency and with a grant to offset the costs of adoption.
Koncepts Energy Management will improve productivity by automating the process of collecting energy data, currently performed through a ma nual and labour intensive process and further increase productivity through the use of Real Time SMS and Email Alerts for exceptional energy usage, water leaks, fault notification and detection.
Through the use of innovative technologies, the solution mitigates the need for additional wiring resulting in faster deployments, lower implementation costs and zero business disruption, making it simple for SMEs to adopt quickly and start their energy efficiency initiatives.
“We expect energy costs to continue to increase and we also understand the resource and knowledge constraints faced by SMEs. So, we listened to our SME customers and decided to create a simple and ready to adopt energy management package that uses the latest technologies to mitigate the need for labour intensive, disruptive and expensive wiring . At S$6,888 for the basic package before support from iSPRINT, this package makes it very affordable for SMEs with a short Return on Investment. Interest has been very keen even prior to our official launch,” said Kenneth Lee, CEO, Green Koncepts.
“SMEs can save up to 30% of energy consumption with the use of an Energy Management system. The KEM SME Kit developed by Green Koncepts is an essential tool to help SMEs reduce their energy costs and increase their productivity , which is in line with the SME Energy Efficiency Initiative. SEAS has been appointed to lead the SME Energy Efficiency Initiative by guiding and advising SMEs to help them gain access to government grants, technologies, financing and consultancy,” said Kavita Gandhi, Executive Director, Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS).
